What’s so easy you ask?

Well Kim over at Windsor and Main has created the Easiest Sew-Along Ever and I’ve signed up to join in the fun.

It couldn’t be easier really as there are only three basic rules:

  • Start where you’re at
  • Use what you have
  • Do what you can

There is, of course, a more detailed explaination of these and all the details of the Sew-Along over on the Windsor and Main blog.

Given that there is no shopping allowed I’ve trawled through my fabric stash and decided it was time to pull out some of the fun fabrics I’ve been stashing with my boys in mind. I’ve opted for a bugs and beasties theme.

With all the spells of good weather we’ve been having lately there have been more and more requests for picnic lunches in the garden and this has prompted me to make a little fleece backed picnic quilt for the boys. I bought some fleece blankets a couple of years ago with this is mind so I think it’s high time they were finally put to good use.

I’ve just completed step one – I’ve posted my fabric choice on the Sew-Along Flickr page. My next step is to get working on my project and get my work in progress picture posted by May 13th. Time to get cutting into those fabrics!
